This award to be made to the exhibitor winning the most money but not to exceed ten animals shown in one breed and exhibited by himself in the open single class. (No limit on number exhibited, but award automatically figured on top ten animals in one breed winning the most money.) No trophy will be awarded if there is no competition.
The general appearance of the goats, sheep, dairy and beef cattle and barns during the Fair is important to the exhibitor, both from the standpoint of visitors going through the barns and for advertising value.
The Benton County Fair Board is awarding a trophy to the best all around herdsman. To qualify for best herdsman award, there must be at least six head in the herd of the same breed.
Exhibitors will be asked to vote for the Best Herdsmanship Award, based on the following criteria:
Notice: Hay and straw to be supplied by exhibitors
Exhibitors to show not over two entries in a single lot and only one entry in herd or group.
