Group Classes:

37. Produce of Dam* - two animals, either sex, from one dam, to be shown in individual classes to be eligible. May be shown by more than one exhibitor.

38. Junior Get of Sire* - three animals all by one sire, both sexes to be represented, may be shown by morethan one exhibitor. All animals must be shown in their individual classes to be eligible. Bulls from Lots 20, 21, 23 or 24 and females from Lots 1, 2, 4 or 5.

39. Get of Sire* - four animals, all by one sire, both sexes to be represented, may be owned by more than one exhibitor. All animals must be shown in individual classes to be eligible. This get must have a minimum of two animal born before September 1, 2003 for the group to be eligible for the get of sire competition.

40. 5 Head* - five animals of either sex, owned by exhibitor from either the calf classes, junior classes, the senior classes or any combination.

41. Breeder's Herd* - four animals, either sex, bred and owned by exhibitor. All animals must be shown in their individual classes to be eligible.

Premier Exhibitor Award

This award to be made to the exhibitor winning the most money but not to exceed ten animals shown in one breed and exhibited by himself in the open single class. (No limit on number exhibited, but award automatically figured on top ten animals in one breed winning the most money.) No trophy will be awarded if there is no competition.

Best Herdsman Award

The general appearance of the goats, sheep, dairy and beef cattle and barns during the Fair is important to the exhibitor, both from the standpoint of visitors going through the barns and for advertising value.

The Benton County Fair Board is awarding a trophy to the best all around herdsman. To qualify for best herdsman award, there must be at least six head in the herd of the same breed.

Exhibitors will be asked to vote for the Best Herdsmanship Award, based on the following criteria:

  1. Cleanliness and neatness of stalls, goats, cattle, sheep, and helpers.
  2. Courtesy, deportment and cooperation of herdsman and helpers.
  3. Promptness in getting cattle into the ring.

Notice: Hay and straw to be supplied by exhibitors

Exhibitors to show not over two entries in a single lot and only one entry in herd or group.
